2011 CHOCOLATE FASHION SHOW: OPENING NIGHT NEW YORK

    For Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion

From Broadway to Soufflé, the 2011 New York Chocolate Fashion Show on November 9th, presented by Lincoln, was a spectacular kickoff to the 14thAnnual Chocolate Show held at the Metropolitan Pavilion through Sunday Nov 13th. Inspired by this year’s Broadway Musicals theme, teams of celebrated pastry chefs and award winning costume designers created outfits and accessories made of artisan chocolates. Participants included “Top Chef: Just Desserts” Zac Young, One if By Land’s Dean Anderson, “Project Runway’s” Elisa Jiminez and many more culinary and fashion icons. Their whimsical and elaborate cocoa dresses were showcased through Broadway classics such as The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables to new hits like Follies, The Addams Family and Ch’inglish. Customary to any theatre experience on The Great White Way, the show opened with the “Playbill” dress and closed with standing ovations to the chefs and designers who joined the models on stage. Martin Howard (aka Chocolatina) with Broadway costume designer Michael Plosky ‘s Broadway Playbill number was a big huge hit and the chocolate truffles that they threw out to the audience tasted so chocolaty delicious and simply melted in mouths with great delight! Below are photos taken straight from the runway of the Chocolate Fashion show on November 9, 2011. • ByuTi new salon opening in Brentwood by Jordan Landes-Brenman

                                          My ByuTi Brentwood hair journal

My byu-ti hairstylist Stacy Ellis gave me a  initial consultation. She gave my waist length hair some long layers, and then used a hair dryer and roundbrush to blow out my naturally wavy hair. Stacy then used a Hot Tools curling iron to create curls, which she then brushed out into soft waves. I loved the results! All products are by Redken and Pureology.

It is a gorgeous salon and the staff was very helpful and knowledgable. I met with the owner Natasha and we talked about the great promo where anytime a guest comes and gets a service they get something in the mail within days after their appointment which includes 3 items: 20% off their next appointment, 20% off any product, and a gift certificate for a complimentary service for a friend to use to get a service at their salon. Byu-Ti is very into giving back to their customers, their community and really places a high value on customer service.

ByuTi’s new salon opening in Brentwood is located at 11740 San Vicente Boulevard, floor 2, Los Angeles California

    Here are my photos.
