  OXYGEN MEDIA’S CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SERIES “THE FACE” RETURNS TO NEW YORK FOR OPEN CASTING CALL ON SUNDAY JULY 21ST
   
  Led by supermodel and executive producer Naomi Campbell, “The Face” is looking for aspiring models who are looking to be challenged and mentored by some of the world’s most successful and talented models as they compete to become The Face of a national brand.
   
  The casting event will take place at the Chelsea Studios (151 West 26th Street, 6th Floor, Between 6th and 7th Avenues) in New York City on Sunday July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
   
  Casting directors are now available to discuss what they are looking for from models that want to further their careers and learn from the iconic Campbell.
   
  Women 5’7” and above are encouraged to apply and must be at least 18 years of age as of September 1, 2013 to participate.  Full eligibility requirements and information on how to apply are available at www.thefacecasting.com.

• Queens Taste 2013 Culinary Event

  The Queens Economic Development Corporation and lead sponsor Fairway Market had a great Queens Taste 2013 culinary event.
  
  The location was Citi Field Caesars Club with a fantastic views of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York. Over forty food and drink purveyors showcased their products to a great crowd. Queens Taste 2013 is QEDC's annual fundraiser.

  There was a fantastic fusion of flavors from cheeses (Cabot Cheese), soups (gazpacho soup by La Rioja), steaks (Christos Steak House) but some of my favorites were juicy burgers by Ottomanelli Burgers & Belgian Fries, Mexican delights made by La Adelita, delicious pies Take a Break & I'll Bake and fantastic  Little Bird Chocolates.In addition there was a plenty of beer and wine and some great giveaways including delicious brownies from Fairway!

  Ever crack your iPhone screen?  You're not alone.  One can only imagine cracking your screen on your iPad but just like the numerous choices of iPhone cases, it's getting more and more difficult to figure out the go to company for protecting your other appendages.  Thankfully we met Robert Dodge, the CEO/Founder of DeviceWear at this year's Grammy Awards VIP tent.  Not only was he a down to earth nice guy to talk to, but also a passionate entrepreneur who, like the rest of us, just wanted something better to both protect and make the most out of his iPhone and iPad.  We'd be lying if we didn't tell you that our iPad hasn't been the same since he gave us a black DeviceWear Detour 360 Rotating iPad case.  Anything that allows us to watch streaming Netflix hands free in a perfect angle while lying in bed is a total score.  Since the Detour 360 is  "smart enabled",  when we pass out after midnight on episode 9 of "House of Cards", we can also enjoy dreamland worry free by just closing the Detour 360's case to put our iPad  to sleep.. if only we were that easy.
